The Lamborghini Countach has been the favorite for every young boy since its debut in 1973. It replaced the most extravagant car to roam the Earth…known as the very 1st exotic car ever…the Miura, which was Ferruccio’s 1st attempt to take the torch from Ferrari. The Miura was a road car from new as the Countach was. Lamborghini was not into racing nor did he have the experience to compete. He instead wanted to make road cars for the rich. In 1973 when I went to the New York Auto Show & saw the new Countach P400S, in its most conservative form, I just Couldn’t believe my eyes, just how gorgeous it was. Once the 500S was released w/its flared wheel wells & spoilers were added, it became the poster child for all to admire. This example we have now in our possession is by far the most desirable in our opinion. It incorporates the very last of its Miura roots by having the same V-12 motor with 2 sets of 3 carbs hanging off the side of the V-12 making more horses than ever & sounding like a F1 race car ! This is a Euro delivered Countach that had far more power than the newer injected cars made for the USA. They hardly ever were imported since they could not pass EPA rules. They also still retain the original look w/out big bumpers on the front & rear, leaving that smooth cool design that made it so famous. Having turned just 3300 KM since new, this has to be the best of the best original Countach on the planet. The Black on Black color combo with the Gold wheels & trim to match has got to be the most desirable package. Purchased at Ultimate Motorcars in Longwood Florida in December 1985 by its only owner, Gerald Uranik, it was driven sparingly throughout its pampered life. Somewhere in the early 90’s Gerald stopped using her & just let her sit in his home so he could admire it. In 2008, 15 years later, Mr.Uranik decided he wanted to drive her again & he had Ultimate Motorcars do an engine out rebuild to the tune of $44K. That included re-commissioning the whole car w/a new clutch, brakes, A/C & whatever else it needed. Today, she has been kept as she was born…not a spec of paint work…not a spec of interior work…still riding on her original Pirelli’s. We believe this particular 5000S is the best example in the World. We feel it will be a half a Million dollar car over the next 5 years. To find one like this that is so original is unheard of today. We are fortunate to have the chance to hold the torch of ownership of this immaculate Countach for as long as we want. Please stop by to view this Masterpiece !
