Every once in a while, the Auto makers of the world come out with a limited run of cars that are immediate collector’s items. In 1989, Porsche came out with a car that honored the original 356 Speedsters from the mid-50’s. They were on a wide bodied 911 chassis from a Turbo, but each car had all of the original quirky options from this 1950 icon. That included a shortened front windshield & side windows, a lower top to accommodate its lower stance w/out power assist (& really a pain to put up or down roll up side windows & some came with an optional Speedster logo on its engine cover. This particular Speedster was very special ordered by its 1st owner. It came with a non-standard color option of Baltic Blue Metallic. It was complimented by its Silk Gray interior having pretty matching Blue piping on its optional electric Sport Seats. Its Dark Blue soft top makes this one of the most beautiful 911’s ever produced. It also has the following options: Limited Slip, Shorter Gear Lever, headlight washers, cruise control & of course, air conditioning. It had a list price of almost $76,000.which was huge money for an ’89 911. It has led a simple life in a few different garages. It has a mere 14K original miles on it. The only thing we did was to paint & polish the original Fuchs wheels which make this Speedster POP !! It is almost in new condition & runs absolutely perfect ! Now is the time to get a really good Speedster !
