We at Investment Motorcars simply crave only the best & most unusual all original cars around…period. This wonderful 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS is just what the Doctor ordered. This wonderful example is the very last year for this icon that started in 1976 w/the 308 GTB Berlinetta. It was a huge design change for Ferrari that was not accepted by the purists…especially the 1st batch made from Fiberglass which was a 1st for Ferrari on a street car. Soon they made a Spider verstion called the GTS. Its claim to fame was when a young Tom Selleck drove one for many seasons on the hit show Magnum P.I. The 328 model presented a softening of the wedge profile of its predecessor, with a redesigned nose that had a more rounded shape, which was complemented by similar treatment to the tail valance panel. Optional equipment available was air conditioning, a leather dashboard & a leather headlining to the removable roof panel. In the middle of 1988 ABS brakes were made available as an option, which necessitated a redesign of the suspension geometry to provide negative offset. This in turn meant that the road wheel design was changed to accommodate this feature. The original flat spoke “star” wheels became a convex design, in the style as fitted to the 3.2 Mondial models, whether ABS was fitted or not. This 328 GTS is finished in the most sought after Rosso Corsa Red coachwork w/complimenting Tan Leather interior…everyone’s favorite Ferrari color combo. It has very low mileage at just under 8,000 miles on its odometer & was freshly serviced by Ferrari of Tampa Bay earlier in 2014. Its condition to say the least is like its new still in the showroom, having no signs of any paintwork nor any mistreatment by any of its few owners. The only addition to this museum piece is it has an upgraded AM/FM/CD player installed its last caretaker. Otherwise it is ready for any concours or any Ferrari event worldwide. If you want the best one available…please wait no longer. This one is ready to enjoy every day.
