Description

This is a really cool & ultra rare early issue J-45 w/a gorgeous rich Dark Sunburst finish over a grainy spruce top w/some stunning Mahogany back & side panels that looks like Brazilian Rosewood. Its cool full sized 1 piece mahogany neck w/its 1 11/16″ nut width feels fabulous. Its got an unbound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard w/pearl dot inlays. You get a killer variety of huge volume & tones thru this bad boy. She is still sporting her original open back 3-in-line Kluson tuners & its original fire-stripe Tortoise’gard. This is the very late 40’s example made just after the Banner headstock models w/a fabulous patina. She’s got killer sustain & tone qualities. Other than some slight finish crazing all over & 1 small back crack no repaired, she’s excellent overall & a 100% original example, she comes w/what appears to be its original Gibson Black tolex/purple lined shaped hard case.
