Description

This is a really cool & ultra rare early ES-175 w/a gorgeous rich Dark Sunburst finish over a maple top & back w/walnut stained side panels. Its cool full sized 1 piece mahogany neck w/its 1 11/16″ nut width feels fabulous. Its got a white bound Rosewood fingerboard has double parallelogram inlays. You get a killer variety of jazz tones thru its 1 original P-90 pickup like Jim Hall & Joe Pass. She is still sporting her original no-line Kluson Deluxe tuners, its original black multi laminated pickgard & its 2 gold speed control knobs. All of its nickel hardware is clean from its tun-a-matic bridge to its cool trapeze tailpiece. Its got a clean factory white oval label still n place, this is the very earliest of the 50’s spec 175’s w/a fabulous patina. She’s ink stamped w/a “Y” date code for 1953.  She’s got killer sustain & tone qualities. Other than some slight finish crazing all over, she’s exceptionally clean overall & a 100% original example, she comes w/its Gibson Brown tolex/Brown lined hard case.
