1954 Fender Precision Bass

This is the ultimate all original & perhaps 1 of our favorites, a very late production “Contour” bodied Precision Bass w/a  Fat Maple neck w/all mid- ’54 features in untouched original condition, it has its original slightly yellowed & faded see-thru Blonde finish over a very lightweight Ash body dated 7/54 in the neck pocket & sporting a piece of tape in the control cavity signed by “Virginia” dated 10-26-54, these 1954 issue Fender Maple Necks are full sized & has a pencil date of 10/54, it’s sporting a very low 4-digit serial # stamped on original bridge, its original Black Bakelite pickgard has that luscious clear lacquer over black color used only between 1951-1954, its Single Coil Pickup is super smooth & bright w/that quintessential Fender Bass tone !, its pot date codes are illegible from soldier over their #’s but date to 1954, its so cool from its nickel tuners to its 2 saddle bridge, its all original in all respects & still retains its bridge & pickup covers along with every single screw from new, she has a gorgeous patina for a 70 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, other than having a few dings, she’s Exceptional in every way, 1 of the best playing & sounding early P’s & the most desirable example on Earth, she comes complete in her original Brown Tolex Gig Bag.
