Description

The earliest Guyatone guitars were manufactured out of the legendary Matsumoku factory in Japan. However, Guyatone was distributed & exported through many other brands with numerous logo’s, such as Vox, Ibanez, Kent, Antoria, Crown, Fandel, Imperial, Marco Polo, etc… and of course the “FEATHER” Brand. At the time, the Guyatone look & sound was so-popular in the UK, that it was the inspiration for many up & coming rock stars. This LG-50 model is the exact version that was used by Hank Marvin, Rory Gallagher & Jeff Beck & used during the start of their careers in the early 1960’s. Its all Blonde finish is stunning w/its flamey maple all over its body front & back. Its original white pickgard & control plate are super clean & original. Its 2 potent pickups are what makes this so cool w/its clean tone & its dirty crunch when needed. It even has its “Guyatone” label on its tailpiece. This is 1 of the very 1st production LG-50’s ever made w/its dot inlays & no name on its headstock. Perhaps the most special part of this Feather LG-50, is the fact that it’s absolutely in fabulous original condition ! Check out the pics of Hank Marvin, Marty Wilde,  Johnny “Guitar” Byrne from the Rory Storm Band & even Johnny’s drummer, Ringo, playing his during their late 50’s photo archives. For decades this rare beast was housed in its original shaped hard case for more than 67 years.
