This is an early original Precision Bass w/the 1st of the post-slab transitional curved “Veneer” fingerboards, its original Custom Color Olympic White finish is over an alder body & has tons of cool Patina all over, its clay dot Rosewood neck is chunky like its so famous for & has a neck date of August 1962, its original frets still have life left, its pretty Tortoiseshell pickgard has 1 chip that’s reglued back in place to its original aluminum ground plate, but it really pulls this all together making it one of Fender’s most desirable basses ever, its split pickup is super punchy w/that quintessential “Motown” sound, if only this Bass can talk…!, its tuners & bridge still work perfectly, 1 original pot code dates to the 46th week of 1962, 1 pot appears to be replaced, its 100% original in most respects, purchased new at “Musikhaus Hummel” in Frankfurt, Germany w/the original stores Plaque on the back of its headstock, it still retains its factory bridge & pickup covers, this is 1 vibey Bass that is so full of cool in all respects, she comes in a decent mid-60’s Black Tolex Hard Case.
