Description

This is an early production version when all Gretsch solid bodies were made w/their new “double cutaway” design, its Oriental Red finished top is incredibly clean & true to color other than a few nicks & chips, its Black finished back & neck have a good amount of play wear still retaining all of its original finish, its 2 Filter’tron pickups are super punchy & have that fantastic bright tone one can only hope for from these rare solid bodied Gretsches, its factory thumbprint inlaid bound ebony fingerboard is clean with its original frets having only slight wear, its Gold Lucite pickgard & sculpted pickup rings finish her off perfectly, all Gold hardware, its open back tuners work quite well, its still sporting its 3 original “G” knobs, switch tips & strap buttons,  its Space Control Bridge holds a nice intonation, its factory Burns tremolo system completes its cool factor, its serial # is still very legible on its back plate & its got untouched electronics, just in from its last 30+ year ownership, other than some wear & its heel area has some slight touchup, its excellent overall & one of the best playing Jets, she comes with a good generic hard case.
