Description

This is one of the finest all original Top of the Line Rick 375 OS models, aka “Old Style” or “Double Bound”, has the Thinest bodied guitars from the early 60’s. Its early Fireglo finish has taken on a wonderful patina & fade to it over an outstanding & slightly figured maple body & neck. Its Double-bound hollow maple body with a two-piece maple top and a two-piece maple back has a Single large ‘slash’ sound hole. Its neck is a 3-piece maple/walnut/maple neck with a nut width of just under 1 5/8″, a scale length of 25″ and a wonderful medium profile. Its Brazilian rosewood fretboard has twenty-one original medium-thin frets w/1 piece triangular pearl position markers. She’s got 3  powerful “Toaster” pickups with chrome covers and outputs of 3.48k, 3.48k and 7.61k. Both beautiful & the last of its kind 2-tier “Gold” Lucite pickgards have a matching Gold Lucite Truss Rod Cover. Its Individual ‘single-line’ Kluson Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons are near perfect shape. Its sports 5 control knobs having their art deco TV style black plastic knobs with gold diamond inlays w/a 5th knob wearing a JB type knob. The potentiometers are stamped “137 6214” and “137 6225” (both the 14th & 25th weeks of 1962). Its got its original bridge and cool Ac’cent Vibrato tailpiece. The serial # “BH” is stamped onto the double “Rick-O-Sound” and “Standard” jack plate being completed August 1962. Included in its original Silver tole4x/Red lined hard case is the original brown leather guitar strap, the original allen-key bridge adjustment tool, the two original case keys in their manilla envelope, an original Rickenbacker “Accessories” printed sheet and an empty box of Rickenbacker strings. Just four ‘Fireglo’ 375 “OS” guitars were shipped in 1962 w/both a thin body & Gold ‘gards out of a total of 23 examples made between 1960 and 1968.
