Description

This was a very rare guitar for its day & very futuristic…the Polara model was made in limited #’s beginning in 1963 thru 1968 most famous for its factory built in “Kickstand” that folds out when needed…outragious option huh ? Its unusual original 2-tone Sunburst finish is incredibly clean w/only a tiny amount of play time ever. Its alder body & mahogany set-neck construction is lightweight & its neck has a nice full sized feel. Its unbound dot inlaid rosewood fingerboard feels great. This is a very rare 1st year version of this S-100 Polara & it was made w/the coolest & rarest early type of single coil “White” pickups. This has its original open back Grover tuners. Its asymmetrical headstock has the cool shape like no other. It also sports its original Hagstrom-made bridge & vibrato unit w/its original chrome capped knobs. She’s featherweight at only 8 lbs. 3 oz. w/killer sustain & tone qualities. This is a 1st year untouched museum quality example for the pickiest collector & comes in its original Gray Tweed hard case.
