This is another incredible all original Pre-CBS made Jazz Bass w/all of Leo’s earliest features in fabulous original shape sporting the rarest factory option ever offered in their catolog, special ordered in the rare original Custom Color See-Thru Blonde finish over a beautiful Grainey Ash body, its “Unbound” Rosewood neck has a stamped neck date of May 1965, its original Tortoise-shell Nitro pickgard pulls this all together making it one of Fender’s best looking & final basses from its 1st generation of Jazzes, its 2 pickups are super smooth w/that quintessential “Jazz Bass” sound !, its pot codes date to the 20th week of 1965, its so cool & original from its tuners to its threaded saddle bridge, it still retains its bridge & pickup covers as well as including every single last tiny screws from new, its 1 & only owner requested the craziest & rarest “Go-Around” option to utilize a custom made black leather waste strap as the owner had bad shoulders, it was affixed w/2 eye-bolts on the back side of its body & actually works quite well as we’ve never seen this before on any Fender guitar or bass, this Jazz Bass is from the final leftovers from Leo’s earliest Pre-CBS days & has a gorgeous patina for a 55 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, she’s 9 lbs.11 oz. w/both covers having killer sustain & tone qualities, she’s exceptionally clean in all respects, truly 1 of the best of the final pure “Leo Fender” Pre-CBS featured examples on Earth, comes complete w/her near mint waste strap in the pocket of her original Black Tolex Hard Case.
