Description
The Grammer Guitar company of Nashville, Tennessee was one of the great lost dreams of the 1960s flat top history. This G-10 Dreadnought is one of the short-lived company’s more engaging early creations. Its beautiful Sitka Spruce top has dark grain stripes under its Natural finish & is quite stunning, she has multi-layers of binding on the top and back of its body as well as a cool dark triangle inlay at the bottom of the factory seam on the top, its unbound ebony fingerboard has pretty pearl dot inlays, its splendid figured Brazilian Rosewood back and sides are perfectly bookmatched & have great color & swirly striping its very surreal, the multi-pointed, engraved plastic-faced Grammer headstock makes one distinctive-looking flat-top. Its deco cut pickgard was a Grammer design. It also has a set of factory chrome Grover tuners, At the time this guitar was made, Grammer was just taken over and run by Ampeg. Conjuring up images of spangled polyester pantsuits and slick late-’60s country performers, this guitar is an instant evocation of a lost era of Nashville Gothic. It’s also a good-playing guitar w/that typical powerful rhythm sound required of a frontman’s instrument.. She is crack free, she’s excellent overall & comes in a nice new Guild hard case.
