Description

This wonderful Martin D-12-20 was built 1967. It incorporates typical post-war Martin style 18 features including stunning mahogany on the back and sides, a superb straight-grained spruce top, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and black celluloid body binding. Its tortoise pickgard is stunning. The neck is mahogany with a nice medium size profile; the fingerboard inlay is mixed size dots and the tuners are the small open individual Grovers with cool white buttons. This “D” has seen very little use w/no pick wear & remains cleaner and more original than most any from this period. It is an excellent fingerpicker’s instrument but also has a lot of punch and clarity as a straight rhythm 12-string machine as well. Its completely crack free & set up perfectly. She plays beautifully & sounds fabulous. Overall she’s exceptionally clean & comes in a nice hard case.
