Description
This is an exceptional example of a Barney Kessel Regular model that was very special ordered in a Left Handed format from new in 1968. Its stunning vibrant Cherry Sunburst finish shows off its very well figured maple top, back & sides. Its 1 piece mahogany neck feels fabulous & plays delightfully. It got a powerful set of pat. # Sticker Humbucking pickups. These have cool 17″ wide, full depth bodies with double pointed Florintine cutaways, tun-a-matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece with raised diamond and model name on wooden insert, laminated beveled edge pickguard, triple bound top and back, 25.5″ scale, bound rosewood fingerboard with double parallelogram inlays, bound elongated Super 400 length peghead, crown peghead inlay. Its chrome capped knobs & its orange label are still in tact & quite clean. Lastly she stays in tune w/her Kluson Deluxe double line/double ring tuners. This could be the only Lefty version ever produced. It’s absolutely exceptionally clean, all original & it comes in a beautiful Black Tolex/Yellow lined case.
