The D-28 is a favorite of ours that’s consistently wonderful year after year in all respects. Its stunning Sitka Spruce top is just about perfect showing its figuring & graininess unusual on any Martin. Its very colorful & quite striped Indian Rosewood back & sides are simply incredible. This D-28 missed the Brazilian wood selection by just a few months. Its got most all Martins best features including its Standard X-bracing, Style 28 rosette, a replacement black pickgard, 25.4″ scale length, Select Hardwood Mahogany neck, Solid Ebony fingerboard w/20 frets and Style 28 inlays w/a 1 11/16″ nut width, Compensated Bone saddle, Solid Ebony Belly-style bridge & perfect Chrome Enclosed Grover tuners with large buttons. After nearly a century at the helm as the quintessential workhorse of music legends like Hank Williams, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and so many more, Martin’s legendary D-28 has become the centerpiece of the folk and folk rock movements at their pinnacle in the 1950s and 1960s.” says Chris Martin, Chairman and CEO of Martin Guitar. Now 52 years old, this is a magical investment in all respects. Don’t miss it. Fresh from getting its neck freshly reset w/low action. It is truly excellent having only aged in color & in its overall tone quality. Comes in its original blue molded hard case.
