Description
The B.C. Rich guitar company has made a living for decades w/their flamboyant styled solid body guitars & basses. In the early 70’s Bernie Rico made some of the coolest Martin style flat tops in Los Angeles, mostly in the famous Dreadnaught size. We have had quite a few 6 string models over the last 30 years. This example is the very 1st 12-string we’ve encountered. The B-28 is their version of a 30’s style D-28. Its beautiful grainy spruce top is surrounded by lovely Herringbone trim. Its back & sides are made from some wonderfully striped Brazilian Rosewood. Its got a 1 piece mahogany neck w/a beautiful bound ebony fingerboard w/some pretty diamond pearl inlays. Its long headstock is also Brazilian laminated w/Bernie’s famous pearl inlaid “R” logo. The spruce top shows signs of its top braces leaving a shadow thru its clear finish. Its completely crack free other than 1 small crackle just above the massive bridge. She’s truly excellent in all respects & quite a great investment as they cannot make them any more…especially w/its Brazilian Rosewood construction. It comes complete w/a decent hard case.
