Description
The Rickenbacker 4001 is one of the most interesting basses ever. Very rare these days are many clean originals. This is a very rare Jetglo finished example w/a maple neck-thru design w/maple body halves & all the right stuff: triangle crushed pearl inlays, checkerboard binding, toaster pickup, large headstock w/walnut wings & the rarest item, its clear lucite thumb rest. Its white’gard is clean as are its Grover tuners. Its serial # plate is slightly rusty wearing its “LK” code that dates to November 1972 & its pots codes date to the 32nd week of 1972. Overall she’s an exceptionally clean 100% original 4001 w/Rockstar looks & great playability & comes in a nice original black tolex/blue lined hard case.
