Description
John Greven, an American master who has been making custom guitars for musicians & collector’s worldwide for the past 50 years. He’s a well -known master craftsman among all famous flat top makers. This beauty is a stunning example of his “White Lady” made in 1978 from his early production days. Its stunning scalloped braced spruce top has a pretty Ice Tea ‘burst around its top edge showing off the outrageous abalone rosette & top border. Its back & sides are made from the prettiest figured flamey maple we’ve ever seen & is also surrounded by abalone around the back border. Its flamey maple neck has Greven’s famous carved heel & “Naked Lady” inlaid headstock. Its bound ebony fingerboard has some of the most ornate pearl floral inlays we’ve seen. Its tortiose’gard & small square bridge are very Martin-like. Its Schaller tuners hold tune well. It’s sporting one of Greven’s earliest labels from Nashville. This Lady sings w/tons of bass response & piano-like high notes making anyone happy to own her. She’s exceptionally clean overall & comes in its original tweed hard case.
