1989 Alembic Series II MSB 32" Scale Bass
This has got to be one of the most desirable of Alembic Basses ever produced, a rare 32″ Medium Scale Bass w/its larger body also made famous by none other than my mentor, Stanley Clarke, whom I personally learned every lick from Clarke’s “School Days” album back in 1976, this is a very special ordered bass, its made with a wonderful combo starting w/front & back laminations of the most desirable choice of woods, using delicious figured Cocobolo w/a 5 piece body & center core, its neck-thru design w/its Omega Cut is constructed from 11 pieces of maple & purple heart, its front & back laminations of its “Knobby” headstock design are a matched set of stunning Cocobolo, its got stock Series II electronics w/an added 4-way Filter w/its dummy-hum center pickup that go thru its DS-5 power supply making what most people say is the ultimate bass tone on Earth, it also has a set of both side marker & fingerboard inlaid Red LED fret marker lights to make sure those dark rooms stay in tune, she’s a very impressive bass w/killer sustain & tone qualities, a new list price today of near $40,000. She’s rather excellent overall & 100% original, its power supply & its power cord are all in its pocket in its original ASA Flight case.
