2008 Gibson Les Paul SG Std. '61 VOS Historic Reissue

We have a crazy cool & clean 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Historic VOS ’61 Les Paul SG Standard in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. With its Heritage Cherry VOS nitro lacquer finish and nickel-plated hardware, this “Les Paul” SG is notably lightweight & faithfully reproducing the guitar that would become the famed George Harrison SG Standard w/its nickel plated Long Maestro Vibrato, following Les Paul’s decision to pull his endorsement. Standard appointments include cellulose trapezoid fingerboard inlays, accurate single-ply binding along the rosewood fingerboard, long tenon neck joint, a SlimTaper ’60s neck profile carve, Gibson Deluxe machine heads, Burstbucker #1 and #2 humbuckers created in the image of the original PAFs, and period-correct Aniline dye that brings out the grain in the mahogany showing wonderful figuring beneath the Cherry VOS lacquer finish. The mahogany construction yields a warm, resonant sound with a natural lower-midrange bark. The Cherry VOS nitro lacquer finish is fractionally more muted than a high gloss, presenting similarly to a genuine vintage example. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is immaculate. The original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case is included, along with the COA and a number of hangtags.
