The Martin Guitar Company never ceases to amaze me w/their Limited Runs of great stuff for so many years. This 1st year D-28 Authentic 1941 leaves me as amazed as many times past. These were made to the exact specs of their best & most valuable guitar making period from their long history of master craftsmanship. This is as good as they get made to all 1941 specs that include some beautifully book matched quarter sawn Madagascar Rosewood back and sides. These have a very rich tone, full of harmonics and warmth you would expect from a torrified Adirondack Top and braces having their “Herringbone” trim w/an aged finish made exclusively w/hot Hide Glue construction and lovely Madagascar Rosewood that emulates some of the best Brazilian used from the early 40’s. Its Ebony fingerboard has famous snowflake inlays w/a matching bridge. Its sporting a set of nice Waverley tuners having its original Grovers in its case pocket. Made only from 2013 thru only 2016 they have since been discontinued and quite hard to find. Other than some weather checking all over & 2 white small impressions from the temp gauge that sits in the case rubbing the side of the neck, she’s truly near mint & comes in its original Black Tolex shaped hard case.
