Description
Check out this wild Master Built Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster ’69 Heavy Relic special ordered in well aged Sonic Blue finish made by John Cruz & Jason Smith. The maple neck is dated June 2012 signed by Cruz & November 2012 signed by Smith. Somehow this fantastic Heavy Relic is 1 of my faves ever. This Strat features a solid alder body, quartersawn maple neck w/a large headstock & a large Fender logo. Equipped with a set of Fender Handwound 69 Strat single coil pickups w/a nickel plated Humbucker in its lead position. Controlled by 1 volume & 2 tone pots w/a 5-Way switch with vintage mod wiring. The 25.5″ scale length neck has black micarta dot inlays and black micarta side markers with 21 Dunlop 6105 narrow tall frets w/a 1969 “U” type profile. The hardware is comprised of aged nickel & chrome Fender “F” Stamp tuning machines with contemporary cloche heads, a Fender Custom Shop installed Floyd Rose Vibrato w/the coolest aged vintage white top hat knobs over a 3-ply parchment nitro Relic’d pickguard. It’s as new & hard to replicate having both John Cruz & Jason Smith provenance, she is surely worth the price of admission & she’s so frickin cool in every respect if you like heavy Relics. Comes complete with/a generic hard case.
