1961 Rickenbacker 365

This is 1 of the most sought after Rickenbacker models ever produced during Rick’s earliest days. You’re looking at 1 of just a handful 1st year production 1961 Rickenbacker 365’s sporting its new “Thinner Body” design replacing its late 50’s Capri model w/its thicker body style produced from 1957 thru mid-1961. This exact example was finished in Rick’s newer 2-Tone Fireglo finish & had a “slash” shaped F-Hole thru its maple top over a double bound body. Its Crushed Pearl inlaid fingerboard is so classic & beautiful. All early 1st issue 365’s had Kluson Deluxe single line tuners, a single layer Gold lucite Truss Rod Cover w/a matching set of stacked Gold Lucite Pickgards. Also she has a set of 4 “TV” Cooker volume & tone knobs w/an early 5th control knob & a factory installed Ac’cent Vibrato system. It’s got pot date codes dating to the 28th week of 1961 & its input jack is stamped w/an “AH” dating it to August 1961. It later became the shape of all things to come for the next generation of famous star players whom cherished these rare Top Line guitars. It’s excellent overall & as significant as any Rickenbacker guitar ever produced. It’s 100% original in every respect & comes in its rare matching Green-Gray Tolex hard case.
