This is one of the most desirable Jazz Basses from early to the mid 70’s that “Geddy Lee” from the Band “Rush” used exclusively on so many of their 1st hit albums, its original Black finish is over a lightweight Alder body, its ultra rare Black Block/Bound inlaid Maple neck is slim like its so famous for & has some figuring in it to boot, there is no legible neck date as usual from that era, its original White laminated pickgard pulls this all together making it one of Fender’s best Custom Color combos, its 2 pickups are super smooth w/that quintessential “Jazz Bass” sound !, its pot codes date to the 10th week of 1973, its so cool & all original in all respects & still retains its bridge & pickup covers & every single screw from new & has a gorgeous patina for a 45 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, having only some slight wear, she’s still exceptionally clean, 1 of the best of the last Post-CBS featured Jazz Basses on Earth, comes complete in her original Black Tolex Hard Case.
