2004 Fender Stratocaster '54 Anniversary a gift for David Gilmour

This is a very rare & very special build by the Custom Shop for a very special client. This 2004 Stratocaster ’54 Anniversary honoring the 50th year of production was built by C.W. Fleming as a gift from Fender for the amazing Pink Floyd guitar player, Mr. David Gilmour. Its beautifully Relic’d 2-tone Sunburst finish is over an incredibly figured Ash body w/stunning weather checking all over. It’s stamped inside “CF” in the top pickup cavity along with David Gilmour written in the neck pocket. The Maple Neck has C.F. Fleming’s signature stating its a ’54 Anniversary “Gilmour” special. It’s sporting a perfect set of bakelite pickup covers & 3 short skirt bakelite knobs over a single layer’gard. It’s loaded w/a set of Custom Shop pickups w/all correct wiring & pots. Its back plate was made specific w/its small round string holes & its special serial # 4002 sample into the plastic. It’s a 1-off build by Master Builder Chris Fleming intended on going to Mr. Gilmour. It’s a perfect example ready for its next collection. Its featherweight & as-new & comes with/its original black tolex hard case.
