1966 Epiphone FT-45N Cortez

Over the years, Epiphone guitars of the 1960’s have developed a cult following of their own. Built in the same factory as their Gibson equivalent models after the Gibson buyout of the company in the late ’50s, they share many of each others features, although subtle design changes and undeniably catchier model names such as ‘Texan’ & ‘Frontier’ give them a cache of their own outside of their Gibson connection. This is a very cool all original 1966 Gibson FT-45N Cortez. Its Natural finished spruce top looks stunning w/its see-thru Mahogany finished back, sides & neck. Its tortoise’gard looks perfect next to its rosewood bridge. It’s sporting its original factory 3-on-a-side double line Klusons. This FT-45N is the equivalent of its Gibson sister, the LG-3, which was both a Natural finish w/factory X-Braces which make this 1 rare Flat Top that plays & sounds fabulous. Its original blue label has flaked off leaving a small area still recognizable. From its 1 & only Lady owner from new…itsa in fantastic all original shape. Other than 1 small crackle on the lower right side of its top, she’s excellent ! It comes in what appears to be its original soft case.
