1965 Fender Jazz Bass

This is an all original & perhaps 1 of the the very final production Pre-CBS Jazz Basses in untouched original condition. It was purchased by by its long term original owner, Mr. Greg Poulus for $300. in 1969 who got it at Ace Music in Miami. It has a nice slightly faded Sunburst finish over a grainy Alder body. Its last of the Pre-CBS traits “Unbound” Rosewood Pearl Dot neck is super slim, has an original logo w/the “counter body” portion up front & she has an inked on neck date of June 1965 making it 1 of the very last Leo designed Jazz Basses produced. Its original Nitro Tortoise’gard has that luscious pepperoni hue used only from 1960-2. Its 2 pickups are super smooth w/that quintessential “Jaco” sound & its pot date codes are from the 20th week of 1965. It’s so cool from its nickel tuners to its threaded saddle bridge, it’s all original in every respect & still retains its original bridge & pickup covers along with every single screw from new. She’s truly exceptional & comes complete in her matching Black Tolex/Orange lined Hard Case.
