Description
This is a very cool perhaps a 1-off Rickenbacker 425 from 1967, a very rare & special ordered example of what George Harrison played during their earliest days. This is an original 425 model in a factory Fireglo finish w/1 pickup, a very unusual “Boyd Vibrato” Tremolo system not seen on many Ricks w/a large White pickgard specially cut to go round this Trem unit w/a matching truss rod cover. There is no Rick serial # as it was always engraved on the stock 425 bridge plates, but this is completely custom done when ordered new w/no normal #. Its 2 pots date to the 26th week in 1967. It’s 100% original, really clean & very user friendly. Perfect for any Beatle Band as Harrisons original 425 was also Fireglo 1st as he had it painted Black to Match Johns 325. It’s truly Near Mint & comes in a nice Black tolex/blue lined hard case.
