1970 Gibson Dove

This is a very special Gibson Dove made utilizing some fabulous figured maple & was completed by 1970. Its Spruce Top is so stunning & grainy w/its stellar looking pearl inlaid bridge & floral pickgard. Its flamey 5-piece maple neck has their double parallelogram inlays in its rosewood fingerboard & sporting a set of factory chrome Gibson tuners. it’s got no volute but does have the made in USA stamp. Its original orange label is missing. Other than some weather checking all over its body & neck, she’s in better shape than most & plays & sounds beautiful. Its 1 & only owner, a Mr. Philip Wade Clements, bought this on October 22nd, 1971 w/3 bill of sales totaling $333.84. His SS # is also engraved on the back of its headstock. She’s excellent overall & comes in its original black tolex/purple lined hard case.
