Description
This is a very cool all original very late production 1978 Gibson L-5S, Gibson’s solid body L-5 model, made in this beautiful 3-tone Sunburst finish over a rare 2 piece very flamey maple top & back. It’s like a Les Paul Custom on steroids. It is super clean overall & has a powerful set of Humbuckers that kick ass for sure. Its got a nice feeling full sized 5 piece very flamey maple neck. Its Kluson Sealfast tuners work well. Standard features include a carved maple top, contoured back, 4 knobs, a arge rectangular tune-o-matic bridge, a factory Stop Tailpiece, no pickguard, 7-ply top binding and 3-ply back binding with black line on side, 5-ply fingerboard binding with black line on side, 22 frets, 24 3/4″ scale, 17 frets clear of body, bound ebony fingerboard with pointed end, abalone block inlay, 5-ply peghead binding, flowerpot peghead inlay & gold-plated hardware. It’s exceptional overall having slight edge wear to its neck finish & comes in its original black tolex/purple lined hard case.
