1995 Ovation K1114-4 Josh White "Custom Guitar"

Check out this really cool & very rare Ovation K1114-4 “Josh White” Signature model a Custom Guitar made by the factory in 1995. It’s one of their most desirable guitars ever & this example was special ordered as these were no longer produced until 2006 when they made a limited run of 1967 Shiny Bowl Back Reissues. Its got a spectacular hand picked 3 piece spruce top w/a textured bowl back. Its label states it’s a Custom Guitar & has 2 distinct factory employee signatures on its label, another cool factor ! Josh was Ovations very first endorsee and this guitar bares all the features I’ve come to love – wide neck, 12 fret fingerboard, slotted headstock and deep shiny bowl. For the most part the Josh White shared the features of the Deluxe Balladeer including hand picked select spruce and inlaid floral rosette, although some very early ones had the same zig-zag rosette as the Classic.  The tuners on the Josh White are open gear with intricate etchings on the plates and simulated bone buttons. Sadly Josh passed away in 1969 and the guitar that bore his name was discontinued (later re-introduced as the Folklore). It’s a killer 30 year old special ordered example as these were made mostly between 1967-8 w/shiny bowl backs & a standard production run from 1972-1982 w/their textured bowl backs. Its truly near mint & its comes in its original brown molded hard case.
