2006 PRS Modern Eagle "Brazilian Neck" Ltd. Run

The Modern Eagle I was produced from 2004 to 2007. This particular example comes from 2006 as indicated by the first digit of the serial number (6). The most distinctive feature of this prestigious series is the Full Sized Brazilian Rosewood Neck with incredible figuring, which imparts a uniquely warm and vintage tonal character. The neck has a 25” scale length, Wide Fat profile, 22 frets, 10” radius, Bird inlays, and a headstock also crafted from Brazilian Rosewood with an inlaid eagle. The Double Cutaway body is made from a single piece of Honduras mahogany with a carved top of highly figured 5A maple of Private Stock quality. It is equipped with original RP humbuckers with satin covers, where RP stands for Ralph Perucci, the PRS designer responsible for the pickups on the first Modern Eagle I guitars. This example comes in the stunning Vintage Faded Blue Jean Gloss Nitro finish (the most sought-after option) with a satin coat. Its 1st & only owner sent it back to PRS as it faded a bright Green patina & PRS said they can redo it to its original color spec (see the bill from PRS). It features a 3-way selector and push/pull tone control for coil-splitting, along with a tremolo bridge—making it the more desirable version compared to the fixed Stop tailpiece bridge model. The original suede-covered hardshell case is included, featuring a gold Modern Eagle plaque and a stitched eagle on the red velvet interior.
