Description

This is a very cool & rare 1965 Rickenbacker 360/12 that was 1 of the most famous guitars ever recorded. This Rick features a stunning Mapleglo lacquer finish. This 61 year old Rickenbacker was their 1st attempt at the new rounded carved top version & it is quite impressive. Tonally, there’s nothing that can match the iconic jangle, chime, and shimmer of the Rickenbacker 12 string design, and there’s plenty of warmth and sonic variety available between the two original “Toaster” pickups. It’s got a pair of white stacked pickgards & its famous “R” tailpiece. These pickups are actually very conservatively wound with modest output that keeps the top end snap and sparkle of the Rickenbacker sound very present in the mix. It has a vibrant and clear acoustic voice. The Rickenbacker 12-string guitar has always been a steadfast factor for any 60’s Rock Music Fans as every band had someone playing one ie George Harrison, Tom Petty & Pete Townsend & Roger McGuinn to name a few. Its serial # code is “EG” completed in July 1965. The bridge was moved slightly & touched up for better intonation & 1 pot was changed out & she’s truly excellent overall & comes complete w/her original beat Silver Tolex/Blue lined hard case.
