Description
We have a pair of 1994 Gibson SJ-200 Centennial is a faithful recreation of the early-’50s SJ-200 specs. It features gorgeous figured Flamed Maple Back and Sides and the unmistakeable brown engraved flower pickguard. 1994 was the Gibson company’s centennial year, so this one sports the “Gibson Centennial” label on the inside. This example is a very rare Jumbo built in 1994 by Gibson with a limited run of 100. Not same as those SJ200 made in 1994 marked with 100th Anniversary. This is a 1949 SJ-200 reissue under the production of master luthier Ren Ferguson. This is serial # 1 of the supposed 100 to be made & essentially its the “Prototype” of this wonderful limited run. . It is in excellent cosmetic condition with no history of repairs or issues. Having a 17″-wide lower bout, iconic “mustache” bridge, and no shortage of deluxe features, the Gibson J-200 has been the “King of the Flattop Guitars” since 1939. Big and bold sounding, this iconic Gibson model has inspired countless players across a wide variety of genres. She’s excellent overall & comes in a decent hard case.
