2006 PRS McCarty "Joe Knaggs" Private Stock

It’s 1 of the quintessential PRS guitar, a flagship model that has defined the brand since Paul Reed Smith unveiled it at the 1985 Winter NAMM show. This specific example was # 1002, completed on 3-24-06 by the 1 & only Joe Knaggs, elevating that iconic legacy with a unique tonewood combination that sets it apart from the standard Core line. Visually and sonically, this guitar is a masterpiece. The South American Mahogany body w/its beautiful ultra Quilty Maple top w/its Custom Dark Cherry’burst provides a sweet, airy high-end and a tight low-end, perfectly complementing the warmth and clarity of the McCarty pair of pickup. These pickups were personally designed after Ted McCarty’s PAF design to capture the magic of late-50s humbuckers, offering extended clarity and a vocal-like quality that responds to your lightest touch. The fabulous Brazilian Rosewood neck, headstock overlay & great feeling fingerboard all have Mutha-O-Pearl Bird & Eagle inlays have 14k Gold Outlines. What makes this such a killer collectible is having its detailed COA signed by Joe Knaggs & pictured w/a young Joe holding this very guitar in 2006.
