Description
The Bond Electraglide is a rare and fascinating piece of guitar history. Bond Guitars, a British brand, made a name for itself in the early ’80s with this groundbreaking model, which was one of the first to feature an electronic neck with no traditional frets. Instead of using metal frets, the Electraglide used optical sensors to detect finger placement, offering a smooth and unique playing experience that was ahead of its time. The Bond Electraglide wasn’t just about tech – its futuristic look caught the attention of several well-known musicians. Notably, Adrian Belew used it in his King Crimson days, and U2’s The Edge used it on the band’s seminal 1987 album The Joshua Tree. This is a husk of an original Bond guitar w/no parts & no electronics. It’s sold as is & could be a viable home project.
